The Consequences Of Not Having Problem Solving Skills

A variety of people lack problem solving skills because they have not been educated on critical thinking skills, because in actual fact those skills are required to help define the problem in order to solve it.  The following are the consequences of not having problem solving skills. Your life can be seriously affected  if you have poor problem solving ability. There are countless complicated and ambiguous problems in interpersonal interaction. If we're not efficient problem solvers, we can hardly clear misunderstanding in communication and get close with people around us.

  When trying to solve a certain problem, you probably have to ask yourself some sort of questions. It is always necessary to consider the this: who? ( who caused the problem) when? (the date the problem happened) where?( the place where the problem happened) what?( what the problem is) why? (the reason that problem happened) After asking yourself this questions , this is when you will be able to solve that problem without creating another problem for anybody.

Creativity Sometimes finding the right solution will require you to step out of your comfort zone, think outside the box and push the envelop. 2. Decision making Ultimately, you will need to make a decision about how to solve problems that arise. 4. Analysis Your analytical skills will help you understand problems and effectively develop solutions  5. Dependability It is one of the most important skills for problem solvers .

Parents and caregivers are a child's first and most important teacher, therefore modelling good problem skills is very important. Using effective problem solving techniques will help children avoid conflict with others in a school setting and in their everyday lives....

 Step 1: Naming and validating emotions When your child is upset, help her process the way she is feeling. Say something like, " I understand that you are upset because Jessica is playing with the toy you wanted." Step 2. Processing emotions Guide your child to her/ his calming space. If she /he doesn't have one, its a good idea to create one. let her/ him calm the body and process the emotions so she can problem solve, learn and grow. Step 3: Problem solving  Brainstorm solutions with your child, doing more listening than talking during the conversation . This allows your child to practice  problem solving skills, and more likely to actually implement the solution.
